About the event
The High School Summer Jazz Band is an intensive program designed for motivated high school students who want to deepen their understanding and performance skills in jazz music. This program offers a unique opportunity to explore different jazz styles, practice improvisation, and perform in a dynamic ensemble setting during the summer break. It's a perfect chance to connect with fellow jazz enthusiasts and learn from experienced instructors. Students must have their own instruments; we will provide a drum kit and keyboard as well as a PA system. Scholarships are available to those who may need assistance The goal is to build confidence in jazz, by working and learning as an ensemble and putting together a 90 min set for perform for a live crowd.
Dates: Starting June 16, every Tuesday and Sunday for eight weeks
Time: Tues 6-7:30 Sun 5-6:30
Cost: $50 for all eight weeks
